The single/edit views of Current Grants and All Grants have been upgraded to a lightbox format. No more having to load a new page each time.
This show all the detailed data in a lightbox, which loads much faster and is able to traverse through the entries quickly using the < and > arrows.

The membership list in the Members area (tab) has been updated. Same functionality.

The main navigation has been replaced with a more mobile friendly approach. The deep sub-levels have been replaced by a single top-level navigation bar and each page has a set of pre-loaded tabs to switch between the items.

The mobile main menu displays all the tabs for each page, and easily clicked with a touch.

Switching between the tabs does not trigger a page load, so moving around the page data is much smoother.

This is for Organisers of Club events.

The intention is for all ASC events to include two lists under Events | Event Admin.

There is now a simple form for Aspirants to update their ski touring experience.

This is a functional change to the way Wordpress operates. There is no material difference to the front-end of the website. It is an administrator function only.

A new way of segmenting the members has been added. This replaces the previous inefficient mechanism of using User Roles, which was very limited. User Roles were never intended to be used in this convoluted way.

The Groups plugin introduces a way of creating an unlimited number of user groups. These user groups can be used to select a set of users for a particular task, or access. Each group can have its own set of capabilities. Groups can be hierarchical, inheriting the capabilities from the parent.

The groups are easily assigned manually to users in the All Users page. Each user can belong to any number of groups. Most selections are now based on a single group (and should be), rather than multiple roles.

The front-end user profile shows the groups a member belongs to.

All previous user selections using roles has now been replaced.
All the page selections based on User Role are now set as access for everyone. Instead, each page has a new Groups selector.
All menu items are now set to access for everyone. The menu visibility is controlled by the page access rules. Any previous menu items which used custom links have been replaced with pages.

The one downside is that selection by role was often included in other plugins. Instead, the ASC plugin has been extended with custom functions to work with groups instead of roles.

A new list of lost members has been added.

Previously all Club events were marked as private, for members only.

Non-members could only ever see a header and a thumbnail of what activities the club was doing. This did not encourage potential new members.

The main Events pages, with images and a summary of the event, are now being made public. This page is now more compact.

Any detailed information about the event which is private for Club members is now relegated to a restricted members' only page.

The Query button on the Event page is open to the public, to express their interest in attending (once they become a member).

The Booking button is only accessible for logged in members.
