A new entry fpr managing committee meetings has been added to the ASC admin panel in the dashboard.
The date/time, link and agenda items can be editing in the dashboard (by Committee Admins). This avoids having to edit any raw html code on the page.
A major upgrade of the member management system has been completed.
This affects:
The old, heavy-weight, photo viewer has been abandoned and replaced by a new lean responsive viewer, which is better and faster on mobile devices.
The new viewer is able to restrict access to the Club's photos to members only, helping to protect image theft. The public page can see the list of galleries in the ASC Trips album, showcasing all the exciting places members have explored, but not the photos themselves.
Members add their photos to a trip gallery using the Add Photo Gallery in the My Account section of the footer. The galleries are next added to the ASC Trips album.
The new viewer can combine photos together from several members to create a team gallery - by using the exact same Trip Title.
The whole set of information for grants has been moved into an isolated area. This is in preparation prior to moving the ASC Grants to a new home, outside of the Alpine Ski Club.
When grants moves, it will be replaced by some information about the new Grants and where to apply.
The history of the ASC Grants and its importance to the Club will be created in a new history section in the About Us page.
1) This is a major re-focus on navigation for members.
When a member logs in, they are now taken to a dedicated club-home page (for members only) , with a focus on the most useful tasks they may want to do. Access is via large buttons for better use on mobile devices.
These actions include Events, Docs, Media, Admin or Member's list.
For committee members, club-home page has a prominent link to the committee-home area - meetings, etc.
The login system has been completely rewritten.
There is close integration for both normal login (username & password) or login by email. Both options are available on the same login form.
Login uses a visually stunning page, with a standard Wordpress login form, branded to the ASC style.
A key element of the new login is it automatically redirects the member to the club-home page, where all key functions are clearly accessible, particularly on mobile devices.
Lost members view - fixed.
Membership notifications - change of Secretary
This is for the Grants team only.
The single/edit views of Current Grants and All Grants have been upgraded to a lightbox format. No more having to load a new page each time.
This show all the detailed data in a lightbox, which loads much faster and is able to traverse through the entries quickly using the < and > arrows.
